Can I get 15 year financing on wheels???!!

Is it just me or are billet wheels just stupid expensive?! I don't have my finger on the pulse of the wheel industry, but I gotta imagine that the margins are pretty fat for most wheels. Hell, it was evident at SEMA this year with all the mega buck displays....anybody else see all that crazy @ss stuff?

I know aluminum and C & C equipment isn't cheap but....Cmon!!

Seems most Billet wheels hover around the $500 a corner price and for that matter even alot of the Amercan vintage style cast wheels are in the $3-400 a corner range!

I can get a whole set of Coy's shipped to my door for $1K and though I am pro "buy american", until someone shows me pictures of 8 yo little chinese (or wherever they are made) kids sweating in front of a pot full of molten aluminum, I will have to consider buying a set.

Oh....and here's another one. Thought I might go with 17" car style rally's cuz I'm thinking something a little more atypical and less expensive....NO! Steel wheels with trim rings and center caps are more than the Coy's!!!...what gives?

If I "buy american" I'll be anywhere from $1500 to +$2000 for wheels.....AND NO RUBBER YET!!

Maybe I'm off base here and someone steer me straight if I am, but holy billet crap batman!!!

NOW.....who has the best prices on Billet Specialties Vintecs?....and where can I find someone that will carry the paper on em for 15 years?? LOL!

i totally agree with you....i would love a set of bonspeed crokus wheels, but they are 2700 without tires...so now i am settling for centerline's which will be about 1100 with tires which sounds a whole hell of alot better to me!!!

Let us not forget that we the consumer play the biggest role in creating the market and the retail pricing that we are charged for an item.

I never thought that $30.000.00 to $40.000.00 would just be a so / so ride. In fact for $30.000.00 you better get involved and do as much as you can as this is quite cheap to build a ride. WHAT HAS HAPPENED!!!

WE pay for Bling .... when Primer is Finer. IMHO.

$400-$500 aint that much per wheel nowadays i was gettin new tires last week and went and looked at the wheelstore down the block while i was waiting to get the tires installed and alignment done heck them had those 22 and 24's they were priced $1400-$1600 EACH // that makes my upoming order of 4torque thrusts with tires caps and lugnuts and balance look real reasonable at a bit under $1300 shipped to my door

Yeah, you're right. Most are more, especially when you get into those bigger diameters.....I'm in the 17" - 18" range.

How the hell do kids these days afford these HUGE bling bling wheel and tire packages on their rides? I imagine alot of em have all 5 of their VISA's maxed out just for wheels and tires!

That's a good deal on wheels and tires.....$1200.

I figure I can have 18" Coy's and rubber for about $1500.

i feel your pain !!! the wheels and tires on the orange truck were a little over $3500.00.

you are so right. I went through that looking for wheels. Weld Racing put a new wheel out awhile back, and I really wanted it, but like the bonspeed wheels, I was looking at almost $3k for the wheels.
I bought the coys, and am very happy with them. Can't beat the price.
My dad saw a pic of my truck w/ the coys and bought a set for his elcamino.

check out centerline wheels they have a good overstock selection online,i just orderd 8 wheels for my 2 trucks cuz there so cheap.20 inch forged wheels for a 160 a peice us made!

this is why im not too much into cosmetics... you start to think like a female (expensive taste). im all for having a clean-looking truck with quality parts, but id rather go fast!! im right with you as far as the billet wheel prices... they cost half as much as i payed for my entire ride!! good luck with your hunt, and i hope you find a great deal on thw wheels of your choice

where is eeryone pricing these Coy's? I haven't heard of them, but i havent really stared shoping for whels yet.. Bt with how much metal is going up i might lookinto buying soon to avoid higher prices..

OK, OK...
it's all about demand... if they are selling at $500 per rim, they will stay at that price... if they aren't selling they go down in price... plus if those cool wheels were cheap. everyone would have them. And they wouldn't be cool anymore. look at the torq-thrust II's... they were $400-$500 range 5 years ago... now everyone has them, now they are $150-$250... and less people want them... I still think they are the sh*#, but....
Now as for me... Truck Rally's from salvage yard, about $20-$30 per wheel... trim rings from parts store ($40-$50 set) tires run $80-$120 per tire depending on exact size) center cap? numerous options from various outlets...Now, Do I have the same bling as the next guy, NO... but when something dings-up my rims... oh well, I'll repaint... when something punctures my sidewall, oh well, I'll get a new tire... way cheaper than those 18's or 22's...
I know,... just my opinion... now if I had $30,000 grand to build a truck. I might go for bling-bling rims, but still not $1000 per wheel...

you think you guys got it bad. i got quoted $10,000 for some 20'' twisted vista 2s with out tires 20'' torq-thrust II's are $4,000 with out tires

Then,try to keep them looking as sweet as new.We`ll be talking depreciation values with the price tag on these wheels so high.Onces they roll off the lot you lose blank blank %,etc.
I`m glad I like good old steel wheels.They gey crappy,just sandblast and finish in color of choice.They`ll last longer than me.I`ll just save my money for the motor.

New 15" rallys, caps, rings, and BFG's... $700

It's almost to the point "now-a-days" that having 15" rims is "being different."

I'd love some 17" TTII, but I wasn't willing to pay $$$ for them.

When I went to Florida(St. Petersburg) they had several.....Rent a Rim.. places. LOL, I couldn't believe it, but I guess it's an option
