homemade wiring harness(again)

ok yall im making my wiring diagram for my homemade wiring harness. ive got all the ignition and accessories on paper. but i need help with the charging. im using a internal regulater alternator(not 1 wire). obviously Batt goes to the battery. but 1 and 2???? i think 2 goes to the battery as well. but what does 1 go to? please help.

hey hew, one of the terminals in the flat connector does go to the battery as well but NOT directly! It powers the alternator field is what it does from the battery. It is usually connected thru the ignition switch so that ur alternator field coil doesnt drain your battery when the truck is turned off. A simple way to go with this is turn your internal regulator alternator into a 1 wire alternator by replacing the regulator with an S (Self Exited) part. Marked SI after the part number If i remember correctly.
