Bed side trim holes

Has anyone ever drilled a bed side for trim holes? Do you have any dimensions? I have laid out the holes from measurement I took from my 69 CST. The bed side is going on my 72 CHEYENNE. Will this be OK? Any help would be great!!! Thanks

Re: Bed side trim holes

manimal, my brother and i put mine on 72 shortbed , and thats basically the way he measured off another truck he has, that and a good straight eyeball. make sure you get ya a small paint brush and after you drill all your holes paint each hole to hopefully prevent rust, he put down tape on the full lenght of bed side then measured off the holes used a staright edge and used a pencil to draw a line full lenght then measured down to where each hole will be and made a +, leave the tape on until you finish drillin. hope u can understand this and good luck . i belive now they offer the stick on clips to. but we used the drill on ones too. if you have to buy any extra like we did our local e an m auto paint store had the clips. cause the push in furnished with the kt wasnt very tight,
