Anyone install a front roll pan?

Installing a front roll pan on my 68 and finding my frame is in the way. I take it I have to cut the frame rails back a couple inches and box them back in. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Anyone install a front roll pan?

just cut them back no need for boxing they are not under any type of load or stress/ you might just take the cutoff pieces and tackweld them in the frame rails in case at some later date you wish to return it to stock

I hate the look of front pans on these trucks but to each his own. If you do do it then I think the above idea is a great one. We always set these part in a place we will not loose them but we can never find them again ether

So true. My garage is only about 26x30 and there are at least eight truck parts in there that I can't find that I want to find!
