Want to add A/C to 71 GMC
I want to add A/C to my 71 GMC 4x4 non-A/C truck. I wanted it to have OEM vents in dash and aftermarket system w/OEM control unit in dash. Can I just cut vent holes in the dash and swap non-A/C for A/C control unit. Are there templates available for the cut-outs. This is my new daily driver and the kids want A/C. Thanks!

I just cut the vents out in the dash. Just ask for some one with an empty dash if they wouldnt mind making some templates for you. I made mine by tracing the cut outs in a factory a/c dash. As for the factory a/c panel hooking up to an aftermarket system, I know there are some out there but am not sure which. Maybe someone will chime in on that part. Hope this helps.
