Re: 1972 mud truck
Nope, but have been around enough 67-72s to spot a real from a fake.
A.The front frame horns give away the fact as its not a 67-72 because they slant like this...\ A 67-72 frame horn slants like this..../ B.One rear shock is pointed towards the back, like the 73-87s.67-72s had the shocks both pointing forward Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 05-06-2007 at 11:53 PM. Re: 1972 mud truck
69K10stepside, you are good... I was wondering how you knew that. Mine also slant /.
I like the blue one, but I would guess he did'nt make it and was pulled back to the start. Looked good trying.

Re: 1972 mud truck
They always pull them back after a run. The Blue one missed a full run by a few feet. There were only a few that made it. The blue one has a 427 in it and always does well. The white 72 went about 45 feet, and that was leading for a while!!

Re: 1972 mud truck
Looks like fun at any rate. I used to run in a few bogs in south texas years ago and if you made it through the pit they'ed just unhook and pull the line back. I miss the mud.

Re: 1972 mud truck
I saw pictures of that blue one from last years, nice truck.I don`t see what it would hurt if the white one would have been an original. It won`t get hurt running mud.No different than what we do to our trucks for drivers. If I could scan,I`d pop pictures up of my bogger I had built(sold a few years ago).It was a`71 GMC body with Rockwells.

Re: 1972 mud truck
Wow a lot of mud stuck to the blue one. It looks like it has 2ton of brick in it after the run.
Last time I tried that stuff my Pass side hub ended up as 25 little peices! 4000rpm X 5500lbs X side stepped clutch = Kaboom ![]() I Still made it 83 feet though.
