media work in a sand blaster
will the plastic media work in a sand blaster? I know the plastic media is better on the metal, but will it work in the same equipment? I have a friend with a sand blaster that I can use.

More info. would be nice. What is your application? Frame, body??? The application really dictates what media one uses.

I agree with above's comment, You only need to worry about media/ Sand if it's the exterior of your vehicle because the sheetmetal is thin compared to frame parts. You are not suppose to sandblast your car because the sheet metal will heat up from the friction and will worp the metal and then you can't painted. everything else doesent matter.

Just a different nozzle is needed.There are different nozzles for different media.

Thanks, that's what i wanted to know. " just different nozzle" I realize the sand will damage the body, and the body is what I will be doing with plastic media. I will use sand on the frame. I have a large compressor and didn't want to waste media if it shoots it out to fast.
