72 chyenne super

I just picked up the above mentioned truck. It is in typical Canadian condition on the exterior, but has a pretty unmolested interior.

I just want to know if this is a rarity because I am planning on using some parts off it and selling the rest, as a whole or part out.

It has the 350 w/ 4 bolt mains and a turbo 350 transmission. This thing was parked at an acreage for a couple of years I imagine, but was told the motor is good as well as the transmission. It just needs a good goin through to make it roadworthy. PS, PB, has about 60% of the upper and lower trim chrome front bumper (I was planning on using this along with interior stuff).

Anyway I just wanted some opinions on whether I should take stuff off or leave for someone looking for this model.

How much would this be worth??? $500 -$1000. It is about 90% complete.

Thanks in advance.

LWB? If it isn't a short box I say part away. There are so many of these trucks all over you won't be destroying any unique piece of history, especially if it is rusty. As for price $500 is a great deal but if I needed enough stuff from it a grand isn't much anymore. Take what you need and part out the rest on the board!

Re: 72 chyenne super

LWB I figured it wasn't that rare, but thought I'd double check, cause i'd hate to know I destroyed something that would have been of some value.

To sell on this board do you have to pay the site??

You have to pay $25.00 to become a member to be able to sell on here but you don't have to pay the site any percentage of what you make off a sale. It will be the best $25.00 dollars you could spend.

Re: 72 chyenne super

long or short its a cheyenne super so it does have some rarity to it atlest enough IMO to keep it together instead of destroying it, LWB are being turned into SWB all the time so theres getting to be less decent LWB out there

how about some pictures of the truck so we can all see it?

Re: 72 chyenne super

If it`s pretty rusty and rough,I`d pay no more than $500.I`d restore it or sell it if it`s not too far gone.A better base truck could be made a CheyenneSuper with the proper pieces off that truck, too.

Re: 72 chyenne super

Ya it's a lwb. I'll try and get some pics up of it. I think it would be better to part out what I can. IMO it is restorable, but I want to use some of the parts off it too?!

Does the Cheyenne Super have any special badging besides the Cheyenne badges on the fenders?? this one has a tricolor paint job... looks original and according to the vin tag in the glove box this is what it came with. The only reason I am calling it super is because of the tag reading Z84 Cheyenne Super.

Anyway thanks for the comments.

Re: 72 chyenne super

There should be a seperate fender emblem under the Cheyenne that reads "Super". Of course these could have been removed at some point.

Re: 72 chyenne super

You guys are really throwing a pickle in here now... I'm already fixing up my 71. I guess my decision is to sell the truck as a whole. Just at first glance what would this be worth?? $500. The rockers and cab corners are toast (typical) but most of the rust you see is surface rust, so I agree for the right person this would be a good one to restore just I unfortunately am not the one that will be able to do it.

My 68 bronco comes first... Flame suit is on!

Re: 72 chyenne super

Weird what the sticker says about the color: special paint-three c___. Would that mean 3 colors? I assumed the red white and blue was owner applied, but that paint code is odd. Sticker also says Cheyenne Super Equipment, but wouldn't that option have included deluxe glovebox and woodgrain trim on the dash bezel? Interesting truck.

No flame suit needed, I have a super clean 71 uncut EB with 46k original miles on it as well as a full tube chasie rockcrawler EB. Then plenty of 67-72 chevy's to keep the world in balance.
First two pics are my current one's, 3rd is now the buggy, 4th and 5th were my show EB before the 30' cliff

My user name is BG's 68 Bronco

Pic 1. My son helping wash the Bronco

Pic 2 and 3 are what I am envisioning it to look with bigger tires uncut or cut and lift.

If you dont want the radio and the trim im interested. I would give 500 for the truck. I also need the rear bumper brackets.
