Panhard Bar adjustment... How to??

How do you adjust it after lowering to make sure the rear end is lined up properly?

Just measure from inside of the tire to the frame on both sides and adjust to an equal number. But you will need to get an adjustable bar, The stock ones have no way to change the length

Re: Panhard Bar adjustment... How to??

I would use the rear end back plates as a measuring point and not the tire. Tires and rims can be inconsistant, but the back plates do not move. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

At What hieght do you need an adjustable panhard bar. I'm looking at a 4" drop in the rear. Is it necessary?

Re: Panhard Bar adjustment... How to??

I've ran a 4'' drop without one, ECE said it would be fine. I do know a lot of people recommend them with a 4'' though.

Yep the drum backing plate is where I measured mine from and got it within a 1/16" fairly easy, although it took a little time.

every inch you lower your truck you gradually make the rear end offcenter by the time its 3-4 inches dropped its a noticeable differance in the wheelwell clearance, the truck will still run and drive down the road fine, it just starts to look a bit goofey doin it// personally i've normally replaced with an adjustable bar on most trucks i've owned lowered or not just because the old ones were bent twisted and needed new bushings and i figured the new adjustable bar was a worthehile upgrade
