New Muncie 4 speed is in!

Its in!! Wahoo!! Drives amazing compared to my old 3 on the tree I had for 7 years. 1st 4 speed I have ever driven...really fun!! Bought brand new rods/hardware from Hurst, new Shifter/Handle, new Hurst Boot, the whole 9 yards!! Only problem is that it has a little leak around the rear..where the drive shaft slips in...think it is just a leaky seal...gonna change that tonight. Thanks again for all the help guys!!!!

Awesome. I trust you wound up with a M20 2.52 first gear? Do they make a special tall handle for trucks? I'd like to see a pic if you could.

Is this a new new box, or a new to you used box? If the tailshaft seal is leaking, what kind of shape is the driveshaft end? If it has grooves worn into it, you will need to get a redi-sleeve that slips over the shaft. One lesson I learned long ago was to replace the front and rear seal on a used tranny before it went in, the cost is cheap compared to pulling the box later.

That's great, I'd also like to know how hard it was, and what it involved? I plan to go to manual next time my th400 goes. Thanks.....
