Re: stock seat dimensions???

I happen to have a stock seat for a 71 out on my porch that I'm getting re-done, I laid the measuring tape on it & made it conform to the shape of the seat & I started with the end of it at the very bottom of the front edge of the seat, (so a little overhang would completely cover the front side of the bottom seat, & barely tucked it into the fold of the seat where the bottom & the back seats meet & I came up with 4' the actual width of the seat with no allowance for any over hang is 58" so...7'X7' should work, I would think, but there are a few guys on here actually using a Mexican blanket on their seat maybe they can give you more advice, maybe there's a good reason to use a 8X8?
