1/2 ton and 3/4 and 1 ton diffrences?
What are the diffrences in the 60-66 years? I know axles/suspension are. What about the frames? Any stouter? Looking to drop about a 900lb motor in the front of mine, and need to know if I should look at upgrading to a HD frame/suspension.

Swapping a big block or HD diesel is rather common in the '60-'66 Chevy C10/C20/K10/K20 trucks. The frames have the capacity to carry the additional load, however the suspension/ride height may need some attention. A fully dressed sbc with weigh less than 500#, therefore you are doubling up with your 900# power plant. What are you putting in?

Looking to put a Cummins 4bt. The suspension will have HD bags, wondering if I need to upgrade to the HD balljoints/knuckles/brakes.

GMC put the 305 in the 1/2 ton, it weighed 800 lbs. I think your steering parts will be okay. But I would highly recommend disc brakes if you don't have them.
