speedo cable extension?
Hooked up my speedo cable to my 700R4 and it is pretty dang tight (was a stock SB w/ TH350). Speedo seems to work fine, but I would feel better if the cable had a little more play.
Do I have to get a new cable or is there a way of extending it a couple inches?

Re: speedo cable extension?
I have the same issues. Get the 4x4 unit and I have been told ...that will solve the problem and give you some extra length.

Re: speedo cable extension?
I wanted to buy a Lokar unit - but the only way I knew to find the length was to take mine off and measure it, then get one longer.
If someone knows the length of the stock one, or the length needed, that'd be great. Mine is the same way. DLB |

Re: speedo cable extension?
I work for advance auto and in our computers we can look up spedo cables for different gm trucks and it offers different lengths just have to look at the pic to make sure it has the correct ends.

Re: speedo cable extension?
If you just get a 4x4 speedocable for the year truck you have ...it will be long enough.

Re: speedo cable extension?
I bought an extension on ebay for about $20. Seemed like the easy way out at the moment.

Re: speedo cable extension?
here is the 4x4 unit. I am sure GMC Pauls and the others sell it as well.
