Re: Early Ramshorns from`68 Custom/10

With the shipping that is more than I was hoping to put in to some ramhorns. I assume that these are 2", as I've seen people refer to 2.5" as being preferred. I'm looking to replace my cheap headers with manifolds, but not too sure just yet. When I switch out engines I will have aluminum heads - will using these be an issue? Anything else I should know? Just looking for feedback before I set down funds. thanks!

Re: Early Ramshorns from`68 Custom/10

I think if you want to build for performance(aluminum/flowed heads)you should get the 2 1/2" Vette ramshorns. They`ll cost more, but 1/2 is alot of flow. What I have are best on a resto or just a mild built custom.

That's why this board is so great - straight up feedback with no hidden interests, just a shared interest in our hobby/passion. Thanks for the info. I'll have to pass this time, but here is a bump for you...

Check out Pickmup(Frank)up in Washington. He had a thread with mandrel elbows coming off the 2 1/2" ramshorns.
