in my dealings with 2wd drive lifts.. i am going to say no... you could always use coils spacers.. or make your own lift..

You can get all kinds of lift for that baby. The 2wd boys of southern California get like 18 inches of travel, but I can't seem to find any websites for the really big lifts.
Here are some raised spindles http://www.kartek.com/truck/spindles/spindles.html This one says 73 to 87, but I think it will fit. ...Got Bucks? http://www.natltire.com/ntw0799/pages/fabtech6.html On the back, I think you can put the rear axle under the sway arms, but I don't know much about that. THe slammers would know more about it. Good luck

I was thinking he could take the rear axle, which is on top of the control arms and mount it on the bottom of the control arms. You would have to cut the pads off the axle and reweld them to the top. You can use the same springs as they are in front of the axle on the control arms and are not affected.
Somewhere I have seem pics of this and was about 4 inches of lift, for like zero bucks and a little elbow grease. The Fabtech 3" raised spindle lift is $401. Add 1-ton springs or a rubber bag in the coils and you should be able to get up to 4 inches up front.

scrub..
fabtech doesnt make a lift spindle for anything older than an 88... it would probably take a bit of fabricating to get these to work... which would definately add to the cost.. i had planned on using a 3" lift spindle for my 82.. but they dont make those either..

PreRunner,
I stand corrected, I missread the data sheet. the 3 inch lift kit is as follows: Utilizing coil springs, ball joint spacers and performance shocks, you will have ample clearance for 33" tires. So it has longer springs and a ball joint spacer. How different is a 69 ball joint from a 73? Would the spacers fit?

i am not sure about the ball joints, but adding just the coils will effect the steering/alignment much like using lowering coils will..(not sure how much the ball joint spacers correct this) i have looked into the fabtech lift, but i use my truck on road as well, after talking to some fellow prerunners who have installed coils/coil spacers ...they have later taken them off as they could never get good tire wear.. if the truck would be used 80-90% off road then i wouldnt worry about it, but this is both my daily and project....i did find a company that made lift spindle...BUT they quit.. just about the time i got the money saved.. DOH!
