Thanks for all the advise guys, but i just broke down and said **** it these are rubbing and stripping them is a pain in the ass, so i broke down and bought some 17" boyds with 10" wide in the back and 8" wide up front, heres a pic they need to be cleaned up but thats it.

Buff all the black off and you will be in business. Get a good deal on them ?

Everyone has their own opinion and yours is as good as anyone elses. So this is not a slam on you.
But chrome just for chrome to me is a waste of money. I'd take a cruddy set of 15x8 rally's over pretty much any* chromed steel wheels. Even if they were new.
I am all about the factory wheels myself.

*As for getting chrome rallys where would you find those? Coincidently I have a set of 15x8 chrome truck rally rims but have never seen them anywhere else. I browsed through WheelVintiques(sp) and Stockton a while back but have never seen the truck rally rims offered in chrome.
But I have a set of four so I know someone had to have made them at one time or another?

For the original post, I like red but that color is almost too bright/light; it would look better in a darker shade of red I think.

i for some reason like the black backs with the front chrome dont really know why tho. still very cool rimds it a shame tho cause i liked the other to.

I like the rallys too, A LOT, but they just kept rubbing and i cant grind any more so I gave up.

Since you asked for opinions ... here goes . Its your truck , you obviously have an idea of what it will look like when it is done so I say take it there . Sometimes I see trucks in the middle stages of a build and think it looks weird . Then I see it completed and it makes sense . My vision and yours arent the same so i wont know what it looks like when its done but you will . I asked one of these type questions a while back on my tan 78 . I know what I will probably do but was just curious what others thought . In the end it doesnt really affect your decision does it . I gaurantee you will be happy with it if you take it to what you see in your head and you will get compliments on it . Nice truck by the way . Frank

Been told im nuts to bring it back from the dead (still going to happen) plans-all stock with a turbo 292 inline 3 speed column shift. and thats it big block 427 and 5 speed trans and ford 9 inch theyhave no home yet thinking what to put them in and a 79 c60 trash truck um no idea i have one
