Name these parts...
OK, I'm taking those first little baby steps on my project '69 K5. 1st step: clean out all the parts that were piled inside. Can you help me identify these parts?
1st pic: some interesting chrome rings, were they some kind of 2 piece wheel cover? Also in the first pic is I'm guessing some part of the transfer case or what?? 2nd pic: there were 3 driveshafts. Why 3? Personally I like the candy stripe action.... I'm guessing the one with the disc on the end attaches to the transfer case? thanks.

The rings look like the are the tension rings from drums....The rest.. I only see 1 pic.

The rightmost shaft looks like the rear, the striper doesn't belong, and the leftmost looks like the front but usually there isn't a companion flange, you'll have to look at yours to tell. Mine had a normal split yoke on the front output.

The one item in pic one is the "adapter" that goes between the tranny and transfer case.The driveshafts...the one on the right and middle are stock driveshafts.(the front one atleast,the back one may not be)The one on the left isn't.The striped is a rear driveshaft and right is the front.The far left looks like its a front d-shaft from a newer style 4wd (7? + )

The chrome rings are from a snare drum. The one toward the top of the picture goes on the bottom of the drum, it has the slots for the snares to go through.

That t-case adapter is for a later model TH350/NP208 or 700R4/NP208 combo. The front shaft is also for a later model truck since it has the Saginaw double cardan joint (flange type) vs. the Spicer style that used a yoke on the t-case and was used on the '69 - '72 4X4s.
