Is there a simple way to take out the two side windows on my hardtop? I want to refinish it, and would like to take them out to do so. Thanks in advance!

Talk to any older glass guy to get the details. They use a small rope and something to pry with (screwdriver). You need to get the rope under the rubber on one side by prying the rubber out little by little and pushing the rope in. Once you get the rope in on one side you pull the rubber toward you and push the window out the opposite way. Small amounts at a time. Have someone on the other side to catch. You use the same concept when installing it back in place to pull the rubber lip over the opening. I installed my hatch window myself using this method, but have only watched windows being removed.

Good one. I forgot to mention that I was using a brand new rubber to install mine.
When I had my front windshield installed by a glass guy, the rubber was so hard he actually cut his hand on it. Then on the odd day I drove in the rain it leaked like crazy so I ended up buying a new rubber anyway.

If you are going to replace the rubbers, cut the windows out.
