Some paperwork I got with my 71 4x4

I recently picked up a 71 3/4 ton 4x4 from the original owner, my neighbor. He gave me a bunch of interesting paperwork to go with it.

Five Theory and Diagnosis books. They average around 20 pages each.
Engine and Cooling, Engine Electrical, Carburetor, Wheels and Tires and Suspension and Drivel line.

Two 71 brochures...one color 15 page and a black and white 4 page.

All the original owner documents, protectoplate, invoices etc....I found it amusing that the protectoplate is rusted...lol

Factory assembly manual and service manual.

That "Theory And Diagnosis" book is classic!Don`t you love the amount of deposit? My K/10 was held off the lot for a fat $20.Then,the guy came back with the other cash and ran it off the lot...insurance?Nah!I think it was $3,700+/-.

The 350 was only $45, but the 4 speed was $156? That's funny.

Re: Some paperwork I got with my 71 4x4

Here is the only one I have right now. I will be changing a few things up to make it more my style though.

Chrome bumper and grill. White steel wheels and caps. and I may go to 35 inch tires. I have a four inch lift set up for this if I go that route. Im putting the interior back to stock, but I may get rid of the 4spd and put in an auto. Ive already taken off the mud flaps. I would like to have a new set of those mirrors in the chrome version. Nothing radical overall.

Why did he trade the 70 in on the 71? Thats cool buying it from the original owner. I like the idea of gettig rid of the black trim. I vote 35's and a 4" lift.
