Speedo gear in 205
On this 205 I just picked up, the previouse owner removed the speedo gear drive and just plugged the hole. So, It looks like all I will have to do is pull the output housing to install a new one, but what gear? How do I figure out the tooth count so my speedo will read right. If anyone knows how to do that my tires are 33 inch final trans drive is 1:01 and the axle ratio is 3:54. Thanks for any advice here. PS. where to buy the part?

I would try one of your local transmission shops. We have a good
one and they gave us a gear the last time we needed one. Jim |

speedo
I went to my GM parts dealer and he help me figure out the ratio and what size teeth to use. It makes a difference in tire size, tranny and rear end.
