fly wheel question
so heres the deal im putting together a 305 for my 64 and i'm planning on running the 4-speed that was in truck again(i think its a Muncie) the problem is the motor is an 89 block out of a camaro and im wondering what type of flywheel i need to use or if im going to have to take the crank and get it machined for the input shaft on the tranny

If your truck still has the original 168 tooth flywheel, then you should be able to use a flywheel for an 87' up Chevy or GMC truck with the 305. Most aftermarket flywheels are drilled for both pressure plate bolt patterns.

cool i will have to check it out i ran into a problem with the flex plate on my 66 that i drive every day it had an 89 350 in it and when it went on its last leg i decided to swap a new motor in but when i went to mount the flex plate on it i realized the hole was too small and had to go buy a new one was just curious if anyone else has done this before so i know what to have when i get ready to finish it up
