1970 CST info and prices. Great reading!!!!

Just got this book recently and thought i would share some info. The pic i took is of a 1970 blazer. Here is the cst option package with pricing. Second pic, notice how you could get front towhooks, (not rear) but not with a chrome bumper or cst package. I can add more if you guys are interested. Enjoy, Eric

That's really cool. Are all the options listed? What is the cheapest and most expensive a new Blazer could be?

Re: 1970 CST info and prices. Great reading!!!!

Shawn, It looks like the 6 cyl 2wd was $2386 + freight, or $2481 for the V-8.
The 4x4 was $2956 for the 6 cyl, and $3051 for the V-8. All were + freight. Everything else was just a matter of adding the options. The prices are listed behind the option.
French, and tcb, I won it on e-bay of all places...

Re: 1970 CST info and prices. Great reading!!!!

Is it the dealer ordering book(not sure of official name)?I have the`71 book and it has all the cars.I had my ochre/white `71 CustomCamper at the time I bought it and that`s the color of the book with an ochre/white longbed on it.
I brought up that the hooks were only with painted bumpers and there were several members that came on and had chrome bumpers & hooks on the SPID.They made exceptions back then.
Does yours show that white was the accent color except for combinations of medium olive/dark olive and medium olive/grapefruit(pale yellow)where the colors could be reversed?I`ve seen exceptions to that, too.

Re: 1970 CST info and prices. Great reading!!!!

It is a small green book called the dealer pocket price guide.
Tim, code DG5 exterior paint, conventional two-tone with white secondary color. Chassis cabs, pickup, and panels.
Custom two-tone or special two-tone.
The special two-tone has white upper and lower secondary colors and with lower side moldings or cst.
Hope it makes sense, Eric

Re: 1970 CST info and prices. Great reading!!!!

I have the Dealer manual for '69. It includes all truck models...El Camino, G-series vans, P-series vans, 2 and 4-wheel drive trucks from C and K-10's thru the 70-series, bus chassis, etc. All of the model numbers are given, along with all of the specific data, SPID numbering, prices (dealer cost, MSRP), and much, much more.

I have looked at it many times to find out info for others, but never looked at it with the intention of "building" a dream truck. I used to do that back in the early sixties when Ford sent their Buyer's Guides to Dad. Did a buncha dreaming, then!!

Mna, this is great info. If you ever get the time, you should scan/photograph all that for a FAQ page. That's valuable info that shouldn't be lost!

Re: 1970 CST info and prices. Great reading!!!!

I think mine`s just called a price guide or price list. It`s great to know the codes and what can get ordered with what or can`t be ordered with that. How about the Custom Camper info, including the name plate as an option.

Re: 1970 CST info and prices. Great reading!!!!

Cool book!!
I wish tow hooks were still what they were back then--$16.90

I knew they weren't available on CSTs or trucks with chrome bumpers, but that puzzled me.I guess they thought if you had the shiney chrome on your truck you'd never have a need for tow hooks? The price of the free wheeling hubs was a little high for back then...

Tim, i will have to take a pic of the custom camper option. It gets too involved to try and explain.
Dustin, the price went up to $17.25 for a c-30...
