summit digital ignition box

I have a chance to get one of the new summit digital boxes for a good price.
looks like it is a rebadged mallory box. Anyone run one of these? I am not really looking for for much power increase but would like to smooth out the idle and some better throttle response.

I would like to mount it in the cab anyone have any pics of were they mounted theres?

Re: summit digital ignition box

My friend had a MSD 6AL go bad in his Nova.. He went to summit to get another one. They talked him into one of their boxes. He has a 475 hp 383 stroker motor and it works great.... I probably would have stuck with the MSD if it was my decision but since I see how it is working for him I will buy them from here out.

I think their main function is to fail and leave you stranded at the side of the highway. Actually they are supposed to fire the plugs multiple times on each power stroke.hence the name "multiple spark discharge"
