Seat Belt Question
I have been accumulating partial sets of seat belts to make a nice complete set for my Blazer. I was wondering if there is a way to take the buckles apart without damaging them so I can use all the best parts from each belt.

It is kind of a hard snap but the buckles will come apart. I use a couple of thin blade scredrivers to carefully separate the top from the bottom.

If they're sort of stiff, you might try soaking in hot water first. I did that with one of my old seat belt buckles after I broke a piece of the first one I tried.
Not sure if it helped or I was extra careful, but the second didn't break. As JimKshortstep4x4 did, I too used a thin blad screw driver and gently pried out on one side and then the other. |
