Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls
I intalled ne upper control arm buwshings and shafts today and i also mocked up my driveshaft and it looks like the drive shaft is the right length so i will clean it up and intall it tommorow and hopfully it fits right.
As it stands right now the only major things i need that i dont have are a 4 speed linkage and a windsheild.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls
Well i have finally made some progress. I had the front windshield installed by someone tonight and it looks great so im very happy with that and i spent all day and last night working on my box to get it ready for sealer and its is now in sealer and 2 am. Unfortinatly i didnt have time to block it in high build so what i did is sprayed high build on the sides and and then i have a thin coat of sealer on top of that so when i go to block it out later i can use the sealer as a guide coat. Even though the sides havnt been blocked out they look really good. Hopfully i will get the box on the truck with the help of a friend and i can move on to other things.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls
Today i got the box on the truck and have almost all the holes drilled and then all it will need is to be properly spaced and centered on the frame. I also fixed my e-brake and leaky brake line fitting so im now ready to bleed the brakes again and hopfully for the last time. here are some pics from the day.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls
Man, you're almost ready to roll on down the road. It's going to be a sweet ass cruiser soon!
and I know exactley what you mean about doing stuff at school. Most of the guys in my shop classes were pretty cool about stuff, but then there are always a few douche bags that like to totally eff with ya. Like the kid who would constantly walk by the welder I was using and flip the switch off mid-bead. but yeah. like you said, atleast nothing too bad came out of it. Keep at it man...I can't wait to see a vid of this sucker obliterating some rear meats. -Sam.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls
not to much progresse but some. The box is done other then being short a few carriage bolts. I have my door weather stripping on now and is it ever hard to close the doors, im hoping they will brake in with a little time. Last week i broke in my cam shaft and everything went well and the motor sounds good.
The brakes are all fixed now and feel really good. the plan is to tow it out to my cabin tommorow so hopfully that goes better then last time i towed this thing. ill post pics a little later.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls
Well the past couple weeks i have been working away on the truck slowly. I now have all the wireing done and have it all tied up and away were it is supposed to be. The interior is just waiting for a rear view mirror mount and then it will be done.
under the hood i am waiting to get my rad back from the shop. It seems i managed to put a small hole in the rad and i didnt even notice, came back into the shop the next day and i had coolent all over the floor. Other then that im done under there. The only big peice of work i have left to do is with my tranny. I rebuilt it beofre i put it in but it seems to be leaking a lot of oil so last night out it came. I also pulled it out to check if i had the bushing you need in the back of the crank when running a std transmition and i didnt so pulling it out was worth it. I also have to make a dust cover for my bell housing so having it off will make it easyer. You will see in the pictures that i finally put the shaved tail gate i picked up for $20 on the truck. I will give it a quick sand and blast of primer before it leaves the shop and then this summer hopfully i will get to doing some body work on it. This past weekend i went to a swap meet and was lucky to find a center console from a 69-72 chevy truck and snatched it up for $10 so was really happy with that. With a little elbow grease and armor all i had it looking much better. have it in the truck already. Here are some pics from the last week. The truck is far from done but about a week away from hitting the road! for some reason it wont let me upload pics, ill try again later.

Re: 67 gmc-project ball to the walls
Well its time to kickstart this project again. Last summer I did end up getting the truck on the road but ended up having a break down and I parked it for the winter.
I have now decided that I want to finish this truck fully so let the body work begin! Here are some pics of the cowl hood I made and the rust repair I did. Also one of the super T 10 that I got over the winter to repolace the saginaw. Posted via Mobile Device
