Exclamation cheyenne super question for you guru's

i've seen cheyenne super long fleetside's, short fleetside's and short stepside's, even a one ton motorhome but never a long stepside super. i'm sure it was possible to order one but of the hundreds-maybe thousands- of these trucks i've seen, i've never seen a long stepper super. has anyone here ever seen one or have a pic of one that is documented as the real deal ? by the way, i saw documentation on the motorhome being a real super/30.

Re: cheyenne super question for you guru's

Man,for some reason when I hear "guru" I picture the lotus position (sitting with legs crossed and heels tucked under the buns).I don`t know about you,Andy, but that hurts and I can`t get up!!!I could never be a guru until they switch to LazyBoys.
They could be had,but would be a rare bird.I did have a `69 CST/20 8' Stepside. Before I decided to sell my`72 K/20 CheyenneSuper I planned to build it back with a long-step just to be different and get heads scratchin`.I also had the option of making it a K/30 using a 1t axle set and Cheyenne/30 badges...never happened.
Maybe this thread will bring one out of the woodwork.

Re: cheyenne super question for you guru's

I'm stumped. Out of all the trucks sold, someone had to order one.

Re: cheyenne super question for you guru's

I remember when I first started getting into these trucks around 1999-2000, I asked my dad if there were a lot of Cheyenne Super 4x4's around here and Topeka. He told me they were fairly uncommon to see, even back in the day. He told me his old one and only one other 4x4 Super in Topeka were really the only 2 Super 4x4s he remembered seeing. He (my dad) worked as a bricklayer in the early 80's and a member of either the bricklaying crew or construction crew drove an All black Cheyenne Super lwb stepside. He said it was one of the trucks that stood out all these years because he didn't see to many long steppers and because it was a Cheyenne Super. Oh, and he seems to never forget a black vehicle. We own 5 vehicles that are black. I will have to ask him about it the next time I see him. Trevor

Re: cheyenne super question for you guru's

Pretty cool little truck K! Just went through a couple hundered 71-72 SPID labels and didn't have any long steppers that were Cheyenne Supers. I have never seen one either but who knows?
I think I will give it the Bigfoot or UFO classification, not gonna rule it out but until I see one for myself......
