I'm not flaming anyone, but IMHO if the car companies were really interested in giving us a quality vehicle they would offer the frame & body in stainless steel. My Dad worked as a sheet metal man for 40 years and the only time retooling to work on stainless steel was when you only did one job. There are alot of different grades of Stainless out there and a few with qualities and nickle % high enough to bend like mild steel yet resist rust forever. So it can be done, and I know I would pay triple for a vehicle that would last a lifetime.
The cost would be higher, but not out of reach. Frank
