I think the confusion comes from the year of Custom Camper. When the first Custom Campers were introduced in mid-1965 thru 1966, 16" 2 piece rims ( with clips)were part of the package. In 1967 thru 1968, new 16.5" wheels one piece wheels(with clips) were introduced as an additional option, but were rare and not as popular as the 16" two piece( with clips). In 1969, the second generation 16.5 wheels were introduced (wheels with bumps for the larger hubcap) which became popular,and the 16" 2 piece wheel was now made with bumps also to accept the new larger hubcaps.This was the wheel choice until GM finally introduced the 16" one piece wheel around 1974 or 1975.
