Glass polishing (removing scratches)?

Anybody have any luck with removing light scratches from glass. My side glass has some scuffing from the previous worn window seals. Though they aren't too bad, you can lightly feel a few with fingernails.

I've searched the web and come up with some results and someone mentioning sanding the scratches out with wet paper...similar to cutting and rubbing paint, but I would like to hear from someone first hand before I take sand paper to my glass!!

Re: Glass polishing (removing scratches)?

Just be careful not to polish too much, it can distort imaging through the window. But tiny scratches the above solutions should work.
