How's it come off 351 V6 question
This is on the back driver side top of 351 V6 motor behind head. Its a filter of some sort, factory. Top part screws off and a filter inside, but I'm wondering how the bottom comes out of the motor. ANYBODY???? Thanks Randy

Re: How's it come off 351 V6 question
It's the crankcase vent filter. Just went and looked at mine, appears it just presses in to the block. Alot of folks replace it with a KN filter, I don't remember the part #, but can find it if you want.

Re: How's it come off 351 V6 question
I was just wanting to take it off to try to sell. I don't want to damage it, I have to pull the cab so once I get the cab off maybe I can get to it easier. Any ides on getting it out if its pressed in? Thanks Randy

Re: How's it come off 351 V6 question
The above posts are correct, it's a crankcase air filter. NAPA part #2718. The filter housing does press in the hole in the block, but they can be tough to remove. The PCV valves actually screw into the heads under the valve covers.
