brake light dilemma

Alright, here is my dilemma. I was cruisin down highway 90 minding my own affairs, when I was pulled over as I had no tailights. No biggie. The cop even let me continue on my way without a ticket. That is a first for me. So I check and see that a 20 amp fuse was out. I replaced the fuse, then I had lights. But, when I used my signal light, the fuse blew again. Am I using to weak of a fuse? Any suggestions? thanks in advance

I had the same problem for the longest time but it turned out to be that one of my light stocket on one of my turn signals had a short in it.
