I am thinking about starting a truck me and my dad bought about 8 years ago. I was wondering does anybody know if lift springs from say a 1967-1972 chevy 4x4 will work? This will be a frame off project and would really like to have all the suspension parts befoe I pull it apart thanks.

Re: 1964 swb 4x4

best way is to measure eye to eye on the springs. I know that they changed the rear lengths after my 68.... You can't find a lift for a 68 or less though...

Good luck... COuld be eaiser to have a custom set bent or fix your old ones... How high are you going? Could do zero rates or add-a-leaf for1-2" on the cheap

Re: 1964 swb 4x4

I might go the custom route. Just need to get the truck in the garage and see what I have. Would like to go at least 4 inches to run 35's. I also have a dana 44 out of a blazer with disk brakes that I might use. Thanks for the help.

Re: 1964 swb 4x4

might have to look into 6" for 35's to have some travel room...

1969 and up had 52" rear springs and I believe mine has 56"? maybe...

If you are into modifications then you could do a rear shackle flip to gain 4" and keep stock springs in the rear. DYI offroad or ORD (off road Design) have a lot of nice parts.

Re: 1964 swb 4x4

Thanks for the info. I think that offroad design makes some killer products. We should be finishing up my son's 75 blazer this week and the daughters swb 4x4 also then maybe start on the 64. Will have to start a build thread for that one. Thanks again

Re: 1964 swb 4x4

I had 35's on my '66 Suburban with no lift. Had front springs redone at spring shop and got about 2" more. Now 37's fit good.
35's on 15" rims.

2" front lift, 3/4 rear with 37's on 17" rims
