Re: My new dash

That just made the values of the edsel go up as that has to be the best looking part of an edsel. Very nice idea looks like its gonna come out killer.

Re: My new dash

Interesting twist dude! I wonder how those "wings" along the doors will fit. Anything's possible with a little creativity and skill!

That's looking good. In this pic it looks like the owner made the bulge part of the door and carried it on back. It's a killer mod.

What, you don't like the grille??!! lol, there goes the next mod... The car this came from was headed for the crusher, The only part not rusted away was the dash so I now have a dash. Its a 1959 edsel as most of you have guessed.

Re: My new dash

Thats gonna be WAY cool! Are you going to weld the tails on the doors or have them flush up to the doors when closed? Cant wait to see this one finished.

The wings are going to be attached to the doors and will flush up to the dash when closed.

That will look sweet but will sure make getting those doors adjusted just perfect that much more important. I recomend getting the rockers, fenders hood and what ever else needs attention done and adjusted before setting the doors or the "wings". Keep the progress comming.

Holy crap!!! An Edsel??? That's just to cool. Are you going to use the Edsel gauge cluster or fab something up? If you can use the Edsel gauges that would be cool.

My rockers are done, doors are pretty good at the moment other that adding some metal here and there for an even gap. Not looking forward to that. The parts that are going on the door will be the last parts to the puzzle.

My plans are to use the edsel cluster but take the dummy lights out and install actual gauges. I would like to get the edsel speedometer working though.

The patch panel is fabricated and ready to go. Not sure on when I will have a chance to get it installed. Pictures will follow as soon as I can.
