Floor Shift from Van Tilt?

What does it take to make a 4spd floor shift tilt column from a column shift tilt?

Re: Floor Shift from Van Tilt?

Tim,
i got the pieces necessary from an older GM car tilt with a floor shift--the cup where the shift handle was and the upper tin cover. i got lucky finding those pieces but a little JB Weld should fix the shift handle issue and the upper cover is tin so welding/brazing/soldering should be no problem. hope this helps.
by the way, i didn't destroy a good column to get the pieces i used, it was already butchered up.

Re: Floor Shift from Van Tilt?

Here's a link showing my conversion for my K20. JB weld and I used some cut out pieces from a beer can to help fill in the large areas with JB on top. Sands down real nice.
