pics wanted plz

i need some pics guys....

i'd like to see what a 67-68 front clip would look like with a 69-72 style hood. Anybody seen this before?

I'd also like to see what a dark blue/orange color combo would look like.

Thanks Guys,
Newton

Re: pics wanted plz

No picture. But,it will look like a hood that is a couple inches too short.I saw a`36 Chevy pickup painted deep blue with chevy orange wheels and pinstripes. It was the essence of Chevy in those colors.Like a black & orange on a Harley.

Re: pics wanted plz

wow i like the 67-68 hood on the 71-72 front. thats sweet. on the other hand, the flipside DOES look terrible. Surely someone out there has some pics of the color combo though. Thanks!

Re: pics wanted plz

must of taken alot of mod to make that hood fit...and look that good.

69C10@16

...im 16 years old as well and bought my truck at 15...after years of working and saving every penny.

dont worry about how the truck looks right now. make it safe, clean it up so the girlies will ride with you. and make it fast

why waste speed parts money...changing the hood.?

...i sunk every last penny into that 383. AND IT WAS WORTH IT.

Re: pics wanted plz

i've got a guy that might be giving me a 67 as a parts truck and the front clip is in WAY better condition than mine but it has no hood. thats why i was askin. dad said he thought the later hoods were better looking anyways so i got to wondering. i dont have the money for any of that stuff right now anyways it was just a quandry in my mind.

does nobody have a pic of the dark blue / chevy orange color combination? really? i figured someone would have ONE on their hard drive.

Thanks

Re: pics wanted plz

it looks to me....that he took a 67 hood, and cut the bottom edge off, and then mounted that solid on the truck, you can see the seam at the bottom of the late hood, then like 2-3 inches of early hood, then grille, look closely.

Re: pics wanted plz

I think the blue, as you've highlighted it, is a section from a 69-72 grille surround. The 68 next to it looks much better IMO.

Re: pics wanted plz

Maybe they used the upper grill piece from a 69-70 GMC, and painted it to blend in with the body.

It doesn't look that bad though however they did it.

Re: pics wanted plz

It really doesnt look that bad. I dont think i prefer it over a full blown 67-68 front end but it's decent. I agree that i think the blue highlighted section (which thanks for makin that by the way it makes it easier for us to make our different points ) is part of the 69-72 grille shell. b/c the hood doesnt come down that far. i may be wrong but thats my thinking.

i know i sound like a broken record but does nobody really have ANY pics of a dark blue and chevy orange color combination. That's what i was really after because my uncle said he was willing to paint my truck for me and not charge me labor if i was willing to help (which i obviously am) and I wanted to see the color combo before I locked in my decision. Maybe take a closer look at your hard drives for me?

THanks,
Newton
