Changing tail lights = Bigger project
I picked up a new set of tail lights for the truck close to a year ago and I'm just now getting around to installing them. I figured I would just remove the fenders, drill new holes and put everything back together. Well, it didn't work out that easy. After Will and I removed the fenders, I looked at it, and just couldn't see putting it back together w/o cleaning up all that 35 yr old road grime and painting it. The link shows some of the progress pics. I have now stripped the pass. side bed side and will prime/paint tomorrow. I ordered a new stainless bolt kit from American Classic along with new fender welts. They should arrive in the next day or so and the fenders will be back on by the middle of the week. I will post more pics once I'm finished.
The lights are from a '28 F*rd and are much brighter than the original lights even though they are half the size. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...330&uid=624330
