my s10
well figured since we have this new forum i would post my beater. its a 1985 s10 4x4 with the 2.8, t5 trans and posi rear.
i bought the truck on oct. 17 2004 because i needed a truck to haul my tool box to school which started the next day and 210 miles away. in reality i only called about the ad in the paper for it as a backup in case my first choice (a 1982 gmc k20 suburban with 350/sm465 lifted with 35's) fell through, and if you cant tell it did. in the 3 1/2 years i have had the truck i have put 57k miles, a starter, alternator, battery, 4 headlights (for some reason they attract rocks), clutch, transmission, and a carb on the truck along with regular maintnence and aside from the self changing oil and brake fluid it has been extremly reliable. i know i listed off a fairly long list of parts that have been replaced but this truck has only broken down in the drive way and has not left me stranded unlike the 3 other daily drivers i have had. future plans for this are a 350/sm465/np205, full width axles (most likely donated from the suburban in the pic) and a custom flatbed.
