i would stay away from the aluminum lines. unless your truck is a full blown race-truck. they can dent and kink much easier from wear and tear and i have been told that they are prone to cracking, especially around the flare if you are using fittings. 3/8 steel is what i use, cheap, available. you could use stainless but remember stainless is harder to bend up than steel, unless it is anealed stainless steel tubing. unless you want polished ss lines for show, i would just get steel. but whatever floats your boat. good luck.
