Identify this part
I believe this came from a 65 and may be the emergency flasher. Can someone confirm?

Re: Identify this part
That is a Flarestat 105 flasher assembly. It is a dealer/manufacturer option. Is it for sale?

Re: Identify this part
Not sure yet. It is part of the last of the 65 stuff that I am trying to sell for a friend. It is a neat item, with the bow ties, so trying to see if I can think of an application for it (since I don't do that year).

Re: Identify this part
Its the factory emergency flasher kit. On ebay they go for anywhere between $100 and $250 dependinf on the condition. They were also used in the novas and other early model chevs. It's a highly desired item!!

Re: Identify this part
The bowtie knobs seem to make them worth more. Check this one out:

Re: Identify this part
I just purchased one on eBay in the factory GM box with factory installation instructions, knob and wiring harness for less than $100.00, including shipping. That is the cheapest one I have seen in a couple years. They have been a hot item on eBay.
In the last few years I have seen the factory power brake boosters, factory cab lights, factory power-assist steering assembly and factory Custom steering wheel and chrome horn ring assemblies hitting eBay and bringing pretty good money. Last edited by LILRED66; 02-01-2008 at 02:23 AM. |

Re: Identify this part
Thanks RicksTrucks for bringing up the question. I just assumed that was what that knob was for that is mounted on my dash.
Mine is non-functional at the time, but I plan to find why. Thanks folks for the info, It's fun to find out more about the old girl. |

Re: Identify this part
I've got one like that on my 64. Of course, being a GMC, the switch is marked GMC. It is pretty clever, (must have been a dealer installed item), because it breaks into the steering column wiring (the two half moon shape connectors), and it has its own flasher relay. When pulled out, the red switch flashes too.
