Holly stored energy (Front spring change)
They were a little tough going in.
Had to compress the spring 7" or so Drop the control arm from the cross member Set the arm with spring in it under the pocket Jack it up a little to set the ball joint and shock Jack up the cross shaft with a block of wood Bolt it all together Release the spring Moroso Sring 47140 240lb rate 17 3/8" long Truck sits about 3/4" higher than it did with the 14.5" 350lb springs. Yesterday I pulled the ball joints out of the upper control arm and mounted them from the bottom side. I have about 6" of true apward travel with out the spring settled yet. Heated up the tires on a test road and left. It tops the suspension out now even on the 70/30 front shock setting. I was using the 90/10 before with the other spring. I tried to slow down the lift with the 70/30 setting after taking it for a ride in the 90/10 setting.. http://73-ls1.com/63truck/gtech/Movie_0005.wmv Last edited by Super73; 02-08-2008 at 06:45 PM. |
