I just put a CVR Mini Starter on my suburban. I like it. Mine was set up with a ford type solinod so I think it is remote also. But I just connected it like the other one was. Works fine. Seems like it has a lot more power to crank. I like it. I did install both shims, just depends on your stituation. Follow the directions and youll be ok.
I have the same starter on my LeMans and it took me forever to figure out that I was not getting enough juice to start it. I thought that it needed more shims cuz it would not engauge. got more power to it and it was fine. The battery is in the trunk, so Im going to run bigger wire back there to take care of the problem. The minis are nice cuz they aer only 10lbs compaired to the 30lbs of the stockers. And the hook up is in an easier place.
