Cool I found a long step bed!!!! A few questions

Well i got a lead on a long step bed. I am going to call the guy tomarrow but he says it is a 73 to 87. looks 73 to 79 style fenders. Maybe los-lowrider can help but i was wondering how i could ID this bed ? I can get some pictures tomarrow maybe. I head brothers sells parts for these but have not looked. I know some of you might not like these but I have wanted a manual trans 2wd stepside and this would get me one "step" closer. Thanks for the help and i will update more tomorrow.

Re: I found a long step bed!!!! A few questions

well the beds are all the same from the fifties all the way to the late eighties the difference is the fenders on it. The bed will fit on any long wheel base chevy.
Brothers , LMC and better yet the board vendors sell parts for them
Id love a stepside myself with a four speed but its not practical for what i do for a living

Re: I found a long step bed!!!! A few questions

got some pictures. fenders look to be the older 73 to 79. Does the bed look correct or is it a 1962 bed? Also on the 8 foot step it is only the step and front section that is longer right?

I also think that just the front section is longer. On the first view it is hard to say if the bed is correct, maybe you can get some more pics. Fenders also could fit but also could be 67-72. Here's a link for you with a lot of pics.

The fenders are 73-78. They have a round filler hole and vertical marker lights. The earlier and later fenders don't have marker lights.

Thanks for the link. does your stepside have dual tanks los lowrider? Also is the tank in the same location as a long bed.
