I somewhat have to agree with this, but he did some amazing work before that show ever aired, so I still have some respect.

Unhappy Re: rip boyd coddington (merged )

WOW! What a shock to find this out!

Love him or hate him but he was one of us a true HotRodder! and one helluva craftsman.

Now 'ol Roy has his buddy to hang with again.

R.I.P to both of them.

Re: rip boyd coddington (merged )

abebummy26, well said. Boyd Coddington, like him or dislike him, he was still a very important part of this addiction that we all suffer from and enjoy, of hot rodding and custom cars/trucks. Never meet the guy, and im not going to pass judgement on him.
Anyone could be made out to look like an a$$hole on TV, fitting a weeks worth of time in 45 minutes of TV times, yeah youll see the bad parts, but good tv has alot of drama, and that what they showed. those of you who are judging him on just that should rethink your judgement.

RIP Boyd Coddington, He will be missed a many, and this is a dark dayin the automtoive industry. A True Legend is now crusing the great highway.

Re: Boyd Coddington, Dead. RIP

Wow, what a great time to show your true colors fine69! The guy is dead, do you really need to say he is an a hole?! Maybe you should keep that one to yourself. I met him and he talked to me like he'd known me for years. I don't have $$$ falling out of my pockets nor did I look snooty, check out the avatar, I was grungy and covered in 67 Chevy truck greese, yet he sat a talked to me for a couple of hours. Sad to see him go, the rodding world has lost a lot of great people in the last year or so.

When I was a kid, I remember someone telling me "takes one to know one". I'm just sayin'.

I agree though, sad to him go. He contributed a great deal. Nice wheels too!

He made some awesome cars and contributed greatly to the automotive customization world. RIP Boyd.

An example of a nice touch the wheels made for an already cool looking truck.

Re: Boyd Coddington, Dead. RIP

I wish I could have met him. He didnt seem to be the happiest person on tv. But I would have like to have met him. Sorry to see him go. He made a difference in the hot rodding community just like George Barris did.
