Re: column question

Well I walked to the burb this morning and decided I wasn't going to take out a tilt and put in a straight. I dug out all the tools and started tearing it down. When I started on it, the shifter lock, steering wheel lock were both broke, and the rack had been popped so the only way to start it was with a screwdriver. I managed to bend the shift lock back into place, and a new rack took care of the other problems. a word of warning about the help brand rack for these columns, they don't fit right! I had to spend about 20 minutes filing this one down so it would work right.
