8" lift Drive shaft

I'm plannming on putting an 8" lift in my '72 blazer. I'm not gonna take it off roading, but don't want to have a bunch of problems. The local shop I was going to order it from is worried about the drive line angle. They think it might be a major problem due to the short wheel base. How hard/expensive is it to tilt the rear diff? And what are some other solutions if it is going to be a problem? Has anyone put an 8" on their bazer?

Re: 8" lift Drive shaft

check into the 6*(degree) shims for the rear that will tilt it up a little, it did on my 72 swb K10.

You will have to get a drop kit for the transfer case. A double cardian driveshaft for the rear would help as well.

Re: 8" lift Drive shaft

If I drop the transfer case wouldn't my front angle get worse? I should probably have mentioned that it will be a show truck, so no off roading at all. I can weld new perches on the rear axle and turn it upwards a bit, but the front I don't think I can. One of the u-bolts goes around the diff (dana 44). If I'm not gonna 4x4 with it do I need to worry about it. Nothing will be turning up there right?
