This is what happens when the sales man lets the wrong person test dive a zo6 vette. He tryed to pass someone and the rear end spun around and he hit a concrete wall. The boss and I wrote a $57,000 Estimate.

i see this thing all the time in oz, brand new holdens wrecked by people test driving them, but the worst culprits are the salesmen who think they are hot sh!t driving $50-60 grand cars home then destroying it...

some how i think the dealership will come up with a stolen car report and have the insurance company take care of it or some how parts werent installed right from factory on traction controll LOL

this is a 2008 holden VE SS commodore - has 100 ks on the clock salesman took it home and hit a tree... now we have to fix it.. motor and box out to straighten the rail ends. the LS2 6.0l motor sitting beside it just before we put it on the pulling bench...

screw fixing it. eaither take the front fenders off and check the suspension and add a radiator then drive it or in my case i would rip the engine out and throw it in my truck.

oh yeah sorry, i keep forgeting that im in australia. ve commodore is a 4 door sedan made by holden - owned by GM, they are one of the most popular cars over here, and from what ive heard they are going to be sold in the US (as the pontiac G8 GT) rear drive with a 3.8 v6 in the base models or 6.0l v8 in the ss and other higher spec models. just google for it theres plenty of info there.

I would like to get one of those over here someday... since the town I live in is named HOLDEN

I've heard they are good cars...

Why would the guy get fired ? He, the salesman wasn't driving it a potential customer was and he has no control of what that person is going to do while test driving the vehicle.

The Dealship is insured for this type of thing so i really dosent matter if it was a Chevette or a Z06 Corvette it's sad to see it happen to a car like the Z06 but there will be alot of them that end up that way probablly worse.

Last month someone flipped a brand-spankin' new z06. They were test driving it on the highway. Needless to say they totaled it.

I imagine GM will take it back to the factory and disasemble it for parts.

I am sure the insurance co will take it to one of thier tow yards they deal with. And will be sold as is. Thats if they decide to total it. I sure hope so because I dont what to be married to this project for the next 6 months.
