lets see some suede 60-66 pics
I`m trying to get some color ideas for my 62. I know it`s going to have a suede or flat paint job and I`ve been thinking of running whitewalls on it. Right now I`m thinking either Hugger orage or 1957 chevy Tropical turquise from hot rod flatz. Post what you got whether it`s yours or not. Here is a link to the piant I`m planning to use with some color options.

I know this is a 59... , but the color is cool, he used tinted primer with a flat clear.

Those are nice.....I need to find someone to paint on some door art.
This makes me want to body work my truck, and paint it with the real stuff. Really cool

I like the color on the burbon. I was thinking on a similar 2 tone style, roof and body same color with the window area white. no problem. I didn`t think you were hi jacking it since it was on topic. Keep them coming guys.

Re: lets see some suede 60-66 pics
I did a 66 Ford in flat black, but I love spending Saturday mornings washing, waxing, and glossing-up my cars too much, so it quickly got boring.
FYI, though- that tinted primer thing- it will eventually turn light light gray or off-white if you don't seal it over with something. You could instead either spray it with a base coat and a flatted (matte) clear, which will look like the bottoms of the older two-toned Mercedes, or you could spray it with a flatted single-stage acrylic enamel. Either will be a smooth, non-chalky matte finish. That seafoam green 59 is rad. I used to have a 98 Mustang that I painted that color. bad mistake for the resale!

that bike looks awesome in that color Mike. Would be interesting to see just what the tahoe would look like with that paint scheme

Re: lets see some suede 60-66 pics
Anyone got a pick of a satin black truck with maybe a white top and red wheels and whitewalls? i know Cheifs truck is like that and it looks great but wanting to see some others. I`m building a chopper/bobber at work for the shop owner that is going to be satin black with red spokes and whitewalls. The combo looks good on just about anything.

Re: lets see some suede 60-66 pics
Well not really i guess. i started this thread to get suede color ideas for my 62 and seeing them on the same body style as I have helps make the desicion but the pics you have posted are awsome. I love all chevy trucks from 47-72. I like the 73-up style too but they don`t look as good in suede as the older ones.

Re: lets see some suede 60-66 pics
That's all I have in GM trucks.
I have several cool f..ds, but I'll skip those, and I have ALOT of cars. I save the pics if the color or style is cool. To see how it can be applied to whatever current vehicle I working on.

Re: lets see some suede 60-66 pics
pics look awsome. i saw the f8rd in there but they body lines are actually pretty close and they look pretty good when done up right. i really like the "project old skool" and i`m kinda leaning that way with suede black but that color is very common and I want something a little different.
