I had to leave it unthreaded somewhat to make it work with the brake lamp switch. Also, with it threaded all the way in the brake pedal rode too close to the toe pan and I couldn't utilize all the braking potential. There are still plenty of threads keeping them together, though. I couldn't figure out a way to completely remove the rod from the booster. Are you wanting to use your factory rod?
