Fresh Paint on my Late Great 1968.

Been waiting awhile to paint this sucker, turned out ok if I do say so. (The white 1968 heh.) Thought everyone might want to take a gander...

At first, I thought about painting mine white. Looks good. Hey, where'd you get those fancy "Ben Hur Chariot" knock off caps?

Re: Fresh Paint on my Late Great 1968.

Thanks Guys. Once you have a black one, you can appreciate the simplicity and cleanliness of good old GM white. The center caps are 2 caps put together sort of. The Bottom part (part that anchors to the rim with the lip behind it) is the stock set you get with the rims, they are real common. The second part are just chrome bullets, used on a lot of Kustom cars, from bumpers to grills to hubcaps, and I bolted them to the stock cap. It has a threaded section in the tip of the inside of the bullet where you can put a piece of all thread into, then drill a hole in the stock cap, and use to jam nuts on the all-thread to connect them. Just away to spice up the old chrome wagon wheels.

Gee Thanks!.. That dreadful old song "Ebony and Ivory" is running through my head now!

Some day I'm going to do a repaint on my white 68. Nice pair there.

Re: Fresh Paint on my Late Great 1968.

Good looking engine. I don't think I've ever seen a red radiator before. You've got a number of different touches on it, wheel bullets, shift knob, speed knob on steering wheel, red radiator.......what have I missed?
