Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
For my money all the best looking Patina Trucks are blue or green (as you can see from the pics) and that's because those are the colors that naturally ocur in metals like copper when exposed to the weather...it turns green, and of course the color of copper is like rust. It just works so much better with those colors, someone was trying to do it with a black truck here on the board and it just looked like it was crying out for a paint job.
Bapst & Hot Rod City are beatutiful examples of this. IMO.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
Any of you guys have any pictures of the old Sport Truck "Circus Wagon"??
I know it does not really fall into the patina catagory but it was a cool truck. I used to have a bunch of it but my computer monkey ate them all.... |

Number 98, the Circus wagon belonged to Jim Aust who worked for Sport Truck. He's a regular on the HAMB (jalopy journal) and he goes by his name so he would be easy to find in the forums. I bet you could ask him over there and get some pics.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
It's the when exposed metal gets that light coat of surface rust and it's mixed in on a vehicle that has worn and thin original paint.
That's how I'd describe it anyways.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
This truck now resides in Lufkin Texas, I picked it up about a month ago and it is an amazing ride. First thing I did was give it a new heartbeat. Aluminum headed roller small block 355, 3500 stall/turbo 350 trans. I will try and get some current pics up.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
I watched that one one East TX craigs list. It looked like a good score. I need to start/finish the 72 before I touch another. Here is a pic of her. I will try to get some better ones later. I recently purchased an ECE 4/6 drop and a set of buddy buckets for it. The truck only has one small half dollor sized ding on a wheel well and the hood has perfect patina. You can see the big block in my avatar.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?
I have fallen in love with the paina's. I am going to have to start parking mine outside to speed up the process! I am probably going to use my son as an excuse to build another truck and the patina is at the top of the list right now.
